Wheels to Woods is a program that assists schools in getting students K-12 into the forest to learn sustainable forestry practices, forest ecology, wood products, careers in forests. Given limited funds, preference will be given to schools using the Michigan Project Learning Tree Modules focused on Forestry.

W2W reimburses actual travel costs to and from the event location. This is limited to $350 per bus with a per school year maximum of $1000 across all events. 

Please remember we cover transportation only and do not cover admission costs, meal costs, parking, chaperon fees etc.

Once the trip is approved by SFI you will be notified and sent the Report Form which is also found here : Report Form
